Q Series  The Q-Series adds another dimension to d&b’s maxima. It is designed for a wide range of small to medium scale applications and a clear perspective to provide flexible, configurable array solutions to the most arduous sound reinforcement situations.The scope of applications for the Q-Series is intentionally very broad, ranging from single loudspeakers right through to larger multiple cabinet arrays for locations which all share the same fundamental requirements and acoustical and mechanical compatibility to achieve precise control of directivity that is maintained to the lowest possible frequency. The Q-Series uses a variety of technologies to create a group of loudspeakers thatperfectly satisfy this demand: conventional rotatable CD horns, dipolar driver arrangements, low compression vented designs with high excursion drivers and toroidal wave shaping devices, all integrated using line array principals. The Q-Series consists of four loudspeaker cabinets that are designed to be totally mechanically compatible. The Q1, Q7 and Q10 loudspeaker cabinets all share the same physical size, shape, rigging and driver compliment. The highest degree of constant directivity is maintained using a large frequency overlap through the crossover range and the recessed dipolar positioning of the two 10” low frequency drivers mechanically time aligns these with the 1.3” exit HF driver. The Q-SUB cabinet completes the Series sharing the same width as the other two loudspeakers and has compatible flying fittings enabling their use in columns with the Q1 and Q7 loudspeakers. The Q-SUB is a bass- reflex design with an 18” long excursion driver and uses d&b SenseDrive technology when driven by the D12 amplifier. When deeper low frequency reproduction is required, the B2 subwoofer in infrabass mode can be added. Qi Series The d&b Qi-Series is a collection of loudspeaker systems and hardware fittings specifically targeted for fixed installationuse. Based on the established d&b Q-Series product range the Qi-Series loudspeakers are the perfect option for speech and music in many theatre, conference and orchestral situations where multiple open microphones are used and considerable gain before feedback is an absolute requirement. The transparency, bandwidth, high power and headroom capabilities also make the Qi-Series ideal for any type of amplified music. |
